About Our Farm

        Mud Hollow Farms is a family ran and owned farm in Holston Valley Tennessee that was established in 2017 by The Slagle Family. In the Spring of 2021 Mud Hollow Farms expanded and built a state of the art greenhouse from Atlas Greenhouses. This greenhouse started out by having many different flowers that filled it, however; soon after the Spring and Summer months came to an end, we transitioned into growing

 hydroponic lettuces.    

       Mud Hollow Farms takes great pride in striving to provide the people of our region with fresh and locally grown produce and goods. We do a wide variety on our farm and plan to always be changing and adapting to our costumers wants and needs.

Our Greenhouse
   Our greenhouse has served us many different services since its construction in the Spring of 2021. We had a grand opening and sold a great variety of annual and perennial flowers. We also supplied people with a great variety of vegetable starter plants such as 20 varieties of heirloom tomatoes and some of the best pepper varieties around.

Once Spring wrapped up, we grew a variety of vegetables to supply our farm boxes out of our new greenhouse. Soon after that, we received our new retrofitted NFT Hydroponic System. We took a month or two to get this system running in tip-top shape which brings us to the end of summer and start of Fall. So far, we have hit the ground running in this system and are growing a great variety of leafy greens, lettuces, and herbs. We're partnered with Mountain Foods out of the Asheville Farmers Market and are supplying them with a variety of the lettuces we grow. The lettuces are also a favorite in our weekly CSA boxes.

About our Hydroponic Lettuces

     Our hydroponic system was purchased in the late summer months of 2021. We spent a month or two setting up this new system, but once we got it running, it has done amazing for us. It has made it possible for us to grow and supply greens to our customers year-round at a faster rate than traditional ways of growing.

CSA Boxes

       One of our favorite things we do here at Mud Hollow Farms is our weekly home delivery CSA boxes. These boxes always include our hydroponic lettuces and fresh grown fruits and vegetables. We take pride in offering this service year-round and always helping our customers find the best looking produce on the market. We also supply other local businesses goods as add-ons in our boxes each week like soaps, jellies, granola, eggs, and more!
